Dawn
shrouded
webs
drooping heavy
in dripping fog,
clinging sticky
in doorways and branches
capturing hair and face,
journey
unexpected.
Swooping
black bird
flock,
enmassed
avian amoeba,
enfolding east
turning west
heading south,
undulating
journey
unsettled.
Wind
whipped
maples,
brittle branches
setting free
leaves
in fiery flight,
soaring sinking
journey
buried.
Rotting
fallen
fruit,
waiting
uncertain,
softening
untethered
rooted,
journey
deferred.
